Our client, an Italian luxury fashion brand, is seeking a Senior Wholesale Planner to join their team in New York City on a hybrid schedule. This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Planning & Allocations Manager.
Job Duties Include:
- Model and develop sell-in forecasts by account and product category that support the merchandising and financial objectives of leadership, account managers and accounts.
- Maintain sell-out forecasts by account and product category to understand variances to plan and develop future action steps with managers, considering the commercial calendar, production and various partners
- Develop and manage weekly reporting at the account/category/style level, driving a high standard for analytical excellence.
- Lead weekly meeting with leadership, addressing variances to plan, risks, opportunities, and actions followed by written recaps.
- Complete various ad hoc requests from leadership, which often have short deliverable timeframes.
- Build strong partnerships through constant communication and collaboration.
- Regularly seek out opportunities to improve processes, reporting, communication, and ways of working.
Job Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of merchandise/account/financial planning experience (or other related industry experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Supply Chain or related quantitative discipline)
- Proven track record of achieving financial objectives.
- Proven strong analytical acumen to identify and resolve business performance issues specifically in forecasting and planning models.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel, able to develop and maintain complex models.
- Creative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinker
- Hands-on or entrepreneurial attitude. Self-starter. Results oriented.
- Efficient time manager and multitasker that can work through multiple issues concurrently.
- Ability to envision the future and facilitate building it.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization
Salary: $110-120k
