Our client, one of NYC's most innovative cultural destinations, is seeking an experienced Venue Sales Manager to join the team on a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office). This role will lead revenue growth through key tourism?focused sales channels, partnering across internal teams to strengthen market presence, elevate the customer experience, and expand business opportunities. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, strong relationship?building capabilities, and a proven ability to drive sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting OTAs, group sales, memberships, and tourism?aligned partnerships.
- Leverage industry expertise to identify market trends, competitive activity, and new revenue opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with OTAs, group organizers, and other influential partners in the tourism and hospitality space.
- Analyze performance data to optimize revenue, refine sales strategies, and identify areas for growth.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market reach, including collaborations with local businesses, destination partners, and travel networks.
- Oversee sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across customer acquisition and retention efforts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with high?value clients to ensure an exceptional experience and long?term partnership success.
- Establish and monitor key metrics tied to OTA performance, group sales, and overall sales effectiveness.
Role Qualifications
- 8+ years of sales experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, travel, or related sectors strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success building and sustaining relationships with OTAs, group sales partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of OTA ecosystems and group booking processes.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in tourism or hospitality-driven markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship?building skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.
Salary: $150K + bonus
