Temporary Visual Merchandising Coordinator

Our client, a prestigious skincare brand, is seeking a Temporary Visual Merchandising Coordinator to support new store openings, renovations, product launches, and ongoing Visual Merchandising initiatives. This position will be based out of the brand’s NYC office 3–4 days per week, with 1–2 days remote. The schedule is flexible, with an 8-hour workday that can be structured around preferred start and end times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create floor plans and visual merchandising planograms for new store openings using technical drawings, elevations, and renderings.
  • Develop visual merchandising collateral and tester orders for warehouse shipment to new locations.
  • Maintain and update master floor plan files, including Visual Merchandising quantities, counter visibility, and forecasting needs.
  • Pack and coordinate shipment of local Visual Merchandising materials and out-of-stock warehouse items for store openings.
  • Prepare schematic packets for Account Executives, including floor plans and Visual Merchandising guidelines for on-site execution.
  • Communicate packing details, delivery dates, and tracking information to relevant partners.
  • Follow up after store openings to address outstanding needs, shipments, or execution issues.
  • Update location-specific, by-door floor plans for product launches, including TV visuals, Visual Merchandising props, displays, and messaging.
  • Develop launch allocation files detailing SKUs, product descriptions, and quantities aligned with floor plan updates.
  • Create Visual Merchandising guidelines for various retail environments and doors to communicate new launch directives.
  • Download and organize visual assets, including Lightbox artwork, language variations, spec books, TV content, launch videos, and global Visual Merchandising guidelines.
  • Update product placement schematics for key retail doors, including new and discontinued products.
  • Prepare artwork layouts and briefs for Lightbox and TV content, identifying special language adaptations, logo placements, visual heights, and retailer-specific requirements.
  • Partner with third-party agencies and printers to coordinate specialized artwork and revisions.
  • Manage Lightbox dimension changes and installation schedules with vendors in coordination with live launch updates.
  • Support and visit key NYC retail locations to execute Visual Merchandising props, signage, and launch materials.
  • Assist with planogram updates and floor set directives for in-store campaign launches.
  • Respond to daily field requests, maintain the master request tracker, and lead weekly meetings with the Store Design and Visual Merchandising teams to coordinate execution.
  • Support requests for Visual Merchandising props and signage by coordinating shipments from the office or warehouse.
  • Obtain and communicate shipment tracking information to Account Executives and field partners.
  • Follow up to confirm requests have been completed, materials have been received, and/or completion photos have been submitted.
  • Support Visual Merchandising initiatives for special events, display cases, windows, and store personalization programs.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for luxury, beauty, and Visual Merchandising.
  • Self-reliant, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, or AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Previous Visual Merchandising, retail, beauty, or luxury experience preferred.
Salary:$28-30/hr DOE
