Our client, a luxury beauty and fragrance brand, is seeking a Temporary Visual Operations Manager to support the execution and maintenance of visual merchandising initiatives across retail locations. This hybrid role in NYC is focused on in-store merchandising, fixture installations, display maintenance, and operational support to ensure brand standards are consistently upheld across the retail network.
Job Duties Include:
- Manage visual merchandising updates, seasonal launches, and promotional installations in retail locations
- Execute store displays, merchandising presentations, windows, and product placement initiatives
- Support with fixture assembly, placement, maintenance, and visual refresh projects
- Coordinate and follow up on visual merchandising repairs, maintenance requests, and installation needs
- Support new store, shop-in-shop, renovation, and special event merchandising projects
- Organize, track, and maintain visual merchandising materials, fixtures, and display assets
- Partner with retail teams to ensure visual standards and brand presentation guidelines are maintained
- Assist with inventory, packing, shipping, and movement of visual merchandising materials
- Provide hands-on support for visual merchandising projects and additional operational needs as assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- 2+ years of visual merchandising, visual operations, retail merchandising, or related experience
- Luxury, beauty, fashion, home, or specialty retail experience preferred
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising standards and store presentation best practices
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
- Ability to lift, move, assemble, and transport fixtures, props, and merchandising materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or overnights for installations
- Reliable, adaptable, and hands-on with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
Pay: $40/hr
