Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is looking to hire a Temporary Demand Planner to join the team onsite in New York City. This is a full-time, temporary position that will start immediately and continue for 6 months with the potential to extend or become permanent based on performance and the needs of the business. Candidates must be comfortable with traveling offsite and flexible to work extra hours as needed per the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for permanent product lines and communicate changes as needed
- Monitor sales performance and proactively alert relevant teams to maximize sell-through
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Retail, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and Finance stakeholders to build a shared and ambitious vision of the business
- Perform data-driven analyses to identify actionable insights for boosting sales performance, improving inventory turnover, enhancing client experience, etc.
- Identify opportunities to optimize sales, minimize depreciation risks, and streamline long-tail inventory management through the development of action plans, presenting findings, and making recommendations to senior management
- Provide insights to cross functional partners, staying up to date on key trends and proposing additional products/solutions
- Ad hoc duties and projects as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- 3+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience
- Experience working in the fashion and luxury industries, specifically shoes, & accessories
- Advanced excel skills and comfortable working with numbers (ad-hoc analysis, pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and can work cross functionally between many different departments
- Experience with Anaplan or Power BI a plus
- Someone who is genuinely excited and motivated about contributing to a fashion brand.
- Travel required approx. 10%
Salary :$28 - $30/hr. paid weekly
