Our client, a luxury brand , is hiring a Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team in Long Island City, NY on a hybrid schedule. This is a full-time, temporary role that will have the potential to become permanent based on performance and the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:- Verify and post journal, ledger, and other accounting entries.
- Maintain accurate records and correspondence related to expected payments.
- Perform filing, photocopying, and general administrative support.
- Process vendor invoices and submit checks/vouchers for review and signature.
- Prepare year-end 1099 and 1096 forms in accordance with legal requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accrual schedules.
- Prepare journal entries as needed.
- Compile, audit, and review credit card reports for accuracy, documentation, and system sign-off.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- 1+ years of experience in a general accounting environment.
- College degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounts payable and best practices.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs) and Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
