Our client, an  Italian luxury fashion brand, is hiring a  Temporary Associate Merchandise Planner  to join their team in  New York City  on a hybrid schedule. This is a full-time, temporary role that will have the potential to become permanent based on performance and the needs of the business.

Job Duties Include:

  • Assist with the planning, replenishment, and inventory management in order to guarantee sales targets are met.
  • Manage and execute daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly meetings to identify risks and opportunities in the business.
  • Develop and implement structure for flow of product in and out of the distribution warehouse.
  • Drive product performance analysis to identify business opportunities to maximize inventory efficiency across retail and wholesale channels.
  • Track inbound/outbound merchandise, while liaising with Logistics to ensure timely shipping and prioritization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Store Managers on inventory/replenishment, current business trends, as well as opportunities to proactively drive future business.

Job Qualifications Include:

  • 4+ years of retail planning experience with merchandising, forecasting, and allocation in a retail environment.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office and Excel (proficiency with Macros preferred, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with SAP systems, BI reporting tools, and retail replenishment tools a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and highly organized, with the ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
  • Articulate with excellent communication style, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with a large retailer/company preferred.

Salary: $40-$45/hr
