Temp Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their New York City team on a hybrid schedule (4 days in-office). This is a temporary role for a 1-month duration, with potential to extend based on performance and business needs. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills in SAP and advanced Excel proficiency who thrives in a high-volume environment.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring correct GL account assignment and validation of amounts and dates
  • Manage vendor setup, including W-9 collection, banking details, and resolving discrepancies
  • Reconcile vendor statements against AP aging reports, identifying missing invoices, credits, and unapplied payments
  • Prepare and execute payments (check runs, ACH, wire transfers) while adhering to payment terms and preventing duplicates
  • Utilize SAP and Excel(VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations) to support AP workflows
  • Oversee the AP inbox, route invoices for approval, and respond promptly to vendor and internal inquiries
  • Audit and process employee expense reports in Concur, ensuring compliance with T&E policies
Role Qualifications: 
  • 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong technical skills in SAP and advanced Excel(VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage high-volume processing with accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proactive, adaptable, and ready to contribute from day one
Salary: $30 - $31.15/hr
