Our client, a  private-equity backed education management organization, is seeking a  Senior Vice President of Operations  to lead enterprise-wide field operations. This executive role serves as the senior-most field leader, ensuring operational continuity, financial performance, and cultural stability across all regions while preparing for seamless long-term leadership onboarding.

The SVP of Operations will oversee multi-region school operations, drive execution of enterprise value initiatives, and act as a steady, trusted leader for teams and stakeholders. Candidates should be based in  Miami/South Florida, with the ability to travel frequently (50%+) across both East and West regions, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise & Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the interim executive leader for all field operations, overseeing regional operations leadership.
  • Execute enterprise value creation initiatives focused on enrollment growth, retention, cost optimization, and turnaround strategies.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support company-wide strategy, decision-making, and board-level priorities.
  • Ensure operational strategies align with mission, culture, and long-term growth objectives.

Regional & Field Operations

  • Provide direct leadership across multiple regions, ensuring consistent operational performance.
  • Coach and develop senior regional leaders to drive accountability, execution, and results.
  • Strengthen operational rigor across onboarding, conversion, enrollment, and retention.
  • Establish and maintain strong operating rhythms (weekly reviews, performance check-ins, escalation forums).

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Own full P&L accountability across a multi-site portfolio.
  • Lead workforce planning and optimization to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee vendor management, procurement, and shared services to drive cost savings.
  • Deliver clear, timely reporting to executive leadership and governance bodies.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure all locations meet or exceed regulatory, licensing, and compliance standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally to maintain safe, healthy, and compliant environments.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational, safety, and compliance risks

People, Culture & Change Leadership

  • Retain, develop, and build leadership pipelines across regions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and high performance.
  • Lead change management efforts to maintain stability, morale, and engagement during transition.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Champion transparent communication and engagement practices.
  • Represent Operations in executive forums, board discussions, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations (education or comparable service industry).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven success leading large, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong track record of driving financial performance, enrollment growth, and operational turnarounds.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, change management, and organizational transformation.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and executive presence.
  • Strong operational acumen with comfort using modern business and collaboration tools.

Market range for this position starts at  $250K + bonus.
