Our client, a health and wellness supplement brand
, is hiring a Senior Director of Sales
to join their team at a remote capacity and lead its wholesale channel strategy and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee existing key accounts while developing new partnerships and channels to expand brand reach and profitability.
Job Duties Include:
- Drive revenue growth and execution across key wholesale accounts.
- Own the wholesale P&L, including gross sales, ROI on marketing and promotions, returns, and deductions to optimize profitability.
- Manage pricing, promotional calendars, and assortment strategies tailored to individual retail partners.
- Serve as the main point of contact for retail buyers, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
- Lead joint business planning, pitch new innovations, and oversee trade negotiations.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new retail classes of trade, including Natural, Mass, and Club.
- Create and manage launch roadmaps for new accounts, including forecasting and promotional planning.
- Lead sell-in and sell-through strategies for major and specialty retailers.
- Craft tailored retail strategies that align with the brand’s premium positioning.
- Partner with Finance and Operations on shipment and consumption forecasts.
- Analyze POS and inventory performance to inform replenishment, promotional cadence, and retail recaps.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to drive business results and enhance retailer performance.
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align launch timelines, inventory, and demand planning.
- Help develop and refine SOPs to ensure scalable retail execution.
- Partner with Marketing and Creative to maintain brand consistency across all retail and online touchpoints.
- Use syndicated and retailer-specific data (e.g., Nielsen, Target POL, Walmart Connect) to guide strategy and uncover opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis to refine positioning, shelf strategy, and pricing.
- 10+ years of experience in retail or CPG sales, with exposure to Natural, Mass, or Club channels.
- Proven success managing major national accounts (e.g., Target, Whole Foods, Walmart, UNFI).
- Experience developing joint business plans, managing promotions, and launching new products.
- Deep understanding of retail operations, POS analytics, and inventory management.
- Strong forecasting and financial planning skills; ability to partner cross-functionally.
- Experience with wellness-oriented brands a plus.
- Proficiency in syndicated data tools (Spins, IRI, Nielsen, Numerator) and distributor systems (UNFI, KeHE).
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
