Senior Director of Digital

Our client, a  growing beauty brand, is seeking a  Senior Director of Digital  to join the team in a hybrid capacity (3 days a week in-office in  Los Angeles, CA). The ideal leader has a strong record of scaling fast-moving consumer brands, with deep expertise in DTC and Amazon. You’re comfortable operating as both strategist and executor: building the roadmap, setting the operating cadence, managing budgets, improving creative performance, and strengthening forecasting discipline.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Own the DTC P&L, strategy, and end-to-end performance across the site including revenue, conversion, and customer experience
  • Lead retention and lifecycle initiatives across email, SMS, and customer journeys
  • Develop and scale acquisition plans tied directly to revenue, CAC, and LTV targets
  • Drive CRO, landing page optimization, and structured experimentation
  • Create channel testing and merchandising roadmaps (offers, funnels, bundles, hero launches)
  • Partner with Creative and Product to continuously enhance on-site UX and storytelling
  • Translate first-party customer and performance insights into broader channel strategy (Amazon + wholesale), including segmentation, hero SKUs, demand signals, and messaging
  • Identify and validate priority growth levers (TikTok Shop, affiliates, partnerships, etc.) with clear hypotheses, KPIs, and learning agendas
  • Own the Amazon P&L, strategic roadmap, and growth plan to achieve revenue goals
  • Lead Amazon advertising programs (PPC, DSP, etc.) to improve efficiency and TACoS
  • Oversee PDP and content optimization, review strategy, and conversion improvements
  • Establish pricing and promotion guardrails to protect margin, brand positioning, and minimize channel conflict
  • Partner with Operations on inventory planning, forecasting, and stockout prevention
  • Build a channel-specific assortment strategy so DTC and Amazon each have clear roles and differentiated value propositions
  • Develop A+ content standards and testing frameworks
  • Manage external agency partners and/or transition capabilities in-house where appropriate
  • Build and execute an omnichannel paid strategy across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Amazon Ads
  • Design full-funnel performance infrastructure: attribution approach, KPI framework, and reporting cadence
  • Partner with Marketing/Creative to produce and iterate scalable, high-performing creative assets
  • Support wholesale digital growth (e.g., major beauty retail partner dot-com) with the right paid approach as needed
  • Test new channels, placements, and tactics to efficiently expand reach and customer acquisition
  • Own reporting and insights across CAC, MER, LTV, ROAS, cohorts, and attribution
  • Align brand storytelling with performance needs in partnership with Marketing
  • Collaborate with Creative to accelerate iteration on digital-first assets
  • Coordinate with Operations and Product Development on launches, hero SKUs, and promotional calendar
  • Work closely with the CEO and Finance on budgets, forecasting, and pacing
  • Confidently represent digital performance to senior stakeholders (including board/advisors and retail partners as needed)
  • Build processes, structure, and operating rigor that helps a fast-moving organization scale

Job Qualifications Include:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven, end-to-end ownership of Amazon (required)
  • Track record of scaling a high-growth consumer brand (beauty or adjacent categories)
  • Deep DTC expertise, including CRO, lifecycle/retention, funnels, and structured testing
  • TikTok Shop growth experience is a plus
  • Strong paid media fluency across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Amazon Ads
  • Analytical strengths: able to build models, forecasts, and performance narratives
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, especially with Marketing and Creative partners
  • Ability to move between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
  • Comfortable in founder-led, fast-moving environments; builder mindset
  • Experience with tools like Shopify, Attentive, Triple Whale, Power BI, and Google Analytics is a plus

Salary: $200k - $230k
