Our client, a retail SaaS provider, is seeking a Director of Sales to join their team.  This role is fully remote, and can sit anywhere in the US. This is a senior, individual-contributor sales role designed for a true hunter, someone who thrives on building pipeline, opening doors, and driving enterprise-level opportunities from first conversation through evaluation. In this role, you will own new business generation through a highly relationship-driven approach, serving as the external face of the company across specialty retail.

Job duties: New Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Own the full front end of the sales cycle for new business, focused on sourcing, qualifying, and advancing new enterprise opportunities.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline by identifying and engaging specialty retailers that fit the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), including industry alignment and spend size.
  • Drive qualified evaluations, not just demos, ensuring opportunities represent serious, high-intent prospects.

 

Relationship & Network-Driven Selling
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to open doors and generate meetings with decision-makers across retail organizations.
  • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities, serving as a polished and credible brand ambassador.
  • Build long-term relationships with prospective clients through consistent, consultative engagement.
Collaboration & Deal Progression
  • Partner closely with the CRO and broader leadership team to progress opportunities and support deal closure.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across product positioning, value proposition, and client needs.

 

Pipeline Strategy & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Track qualified leads, opportunity progression, and revenue contribution with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience, with a strong emphasis on new logo acquisition.
  • Required: Deep experience selling retail technology, specifically within the specialty retail space.
  • Proven success selling B2B SaaS solutions with complex buying cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline through relationships, industry presence, and proactive outreach.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort operating autonomously as a senior individual contributor with a pure selling mindset.
  • Willingness and aptitude for frequent travel to drive success.
Salary:  $150k-$180k + commission
