Our client, a diamond wholesaler, is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the front-facing representative of their New York City office. This individual will create a warm and professional first impression for clients and partners, while supporting the team with essential administrative and operational tasks.
Role Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and maintain a polished reception area.
- Manage a high?volume, multi-line phone system and route calls appropriately.
- Oversee incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and merchandise shipments.
- Support basic administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Assist with inventory handling and logging of high-value items.
- Provide general office support and assist with additional day?to?day operational duties as needed and assigned.
Role Qualifications
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative role.
- Comfortable handling high call volume in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, or luxury goods is a plus.
- Professional communication skills and polished presentation.
- Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proficient with standard office software and administrative tools.
- Reliable, customer?focused, and able to manage shifting priorities.
Salary: $21/hr
