Payroll Practitioner

Our client, a  contemporary fashion brand, is seeking a  Payroll Associate  to join their  NYC  team full time. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable being a team player or working independently as needed. This role will be in office five days a week.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Administer and run all payroll accordance with operating procedures and deadlines
  • Validate all payroll data prior to processing
  • Work to ensure that queries and problems are resolved promptly
  • Maintain strict confidentiality over employee data and information
  • Work with Payroll Manager on projects and tasks as they arise
  • Be a resource to employees to provide them with an understanding of the payroll process as well as assisting with employee questions regarding pay
  • Reinforce company policies and procedures in compliance with HR and Accounting teams.
  • Produce payroll reports as requested

Job Qualifications Include:

  • 3+ years of high volume multi-state payroll experience and payroll taxes (1,000+ employee population)
  • ADP systems experience required (or similar program)
  • ADVANCED Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with PTO accruals
  • Knowledge of multi state pay regulations, including California
  • Spanish speaker a plus

Salary: $75k-$85k
