Our client, a contemporary fashion & accessories brand, is hiring a Merchandise Planner to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). This role will develop and execute merchandise financial plans that align with company objectives, maximize sales, drive strong inventory performance, and increase profitability. Job Duties Include:

  • Analyze historical performance and current business trends to inform future planning and assortment strategies across weekly, monthly, and long-term periods
  • Build and maintain both top-down and bottom-up merchandise sales and inventory plans by collection, category, and key item
  • Collaborate with Design, Production, Marketing, and Allocation teams to ensure alignment on assortment, pricing, launch cadence, and inventory flow
  • Monitor and forecast inventory levels by collection, category, and key item to ensure strong sell-through and healthy stock levels
  • Provide actionable insights to influence pricing, markdowns, and promotional strategies.
  • Partner with product development to integrate data-driven insights into line planning
  • Work with marketing to align launch strategies with inventory availability
  • Coordinate with retail operations and allocation teams to develop store allocation and replenishment strategies


Job Qualifications Include:

  • 3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, retail/wholesale planning, or inventory management, ideally in a DTC or multi-channel retail environment
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a high level of detail orientation and organizational ability
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets and create clear, compelling presentations
  • Highly analytical with excellent accuracy
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Salary: $75k - $85k + bonus potential
