Our client, a global, fast-growing consumer retail brand is seeking a Manager, HR Operations to lead Human Resources operations, systems, and process excellence across the Americas region. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for optimizing HR infrastructure, driving operational efficiency, overseeing payroll operations, and ensuring the integrity of employee data and HR systems. The position will partner closely with Human Resources leadership, Finance, Information Technology, and business stakeholders to enhance HR service delivery, streamline processes, and support organizational growth through scalable people operations. This role is based full-time onsite in their Culver City, CA office

What You'll Do
  • Lead the HR Operations function, driving operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement scalable HR processes and workflows that improve efficiency, service quality, and consistency across multiple locations and employee populations.
  • Evaluate existing HR practices and identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness through technology, automation, and process optimization.
  • Establish and monitor key operational metrics, service-level indicators, and reporting frameworks to measure team performance and support business decision-making.
  • Partner with Human Resources leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational transformation initiatives and evolving workforce needs.
  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of Human Resources systems, including HRIS, applicant tracking systems, onboarding platforms, and payroll technologies.
  • Serve as the primary owner of HR data governance, ensuring employee information remains accurate, compliant, secure, and accessible across all systems.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology and system stakeholders on enhancements, integrations, testing, upgrades, and implementation of new HR technologies.
  • Provide advanced support and guidance on HR systems functionality, reporting, troubleshooting, and user adoption.
  • Lead HR reporting and analytics efforts, developing dashboards and insights that support workforce planning, operational performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple employee groups and locations.
  • Manage payroll-related processes, including salary administration, timekeeping data, deductions, incentive payments, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues, improve controls, and maintain process accuracy.
  • Ensure seamless integration between HR systems and payroll platforms to support efficient data flow and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Operations professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development support to team members.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Information Technology teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment across functions.
  • Support leadership by providing operational expertise, system capabilities, workforce data, and process recommendations that strengthen overall HR effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources Operations experience within a corporate, multi-site, or complex organizational environment.
  • Strong expertise managing employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, organizational changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • Advanced experience administering and optimizing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including reporting, configuration, process management, and end-user support.

Salary: $110K - $130K + bonus
