Our client is seeking a House Manager to join a household in Southampton, New York. This is a Full-Time, in-person position. Live-in is preferred, but local candidates who prefer to commute will also be considered.
Responsibilities of the House Manager:
-Works closely with the EA, NYC house manager, and international project manager
-Ability to keep day-to-day operations of the home running smoothly
-Act as the point of contact for all vendors and contractors
-Oversee projects and any renovations
-General maintenance of the property
-Ensure compliance with building/fire/safety codes
-Ensure/understand insurances, security, and necessary measures that are in place
-Manage household bills and expenses, with close attention to detail
-Liaising with the principal to schedule appointments regarding household renovations, design, etc.
-Interior design and organization of design materials
-Occasional calendar management
-Event planning
-Oversees art acquisition and logistics of installations, etc.
-Occasionally looking after guests
Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience
-Firm but polite personality that can deal with contractors/vendors regularly
-The ideal person for this role will be a go-getter, someone who is autonomous and reliable who can come in and hit the ground running
-Must be able to wear many hats and have a 'no task too big or too small' outlook
-Must be highly professional and respect boundaries
-The principals do prefer you to have a driver's license as well
-Tech-savvy: complete comfort with all standard Mac computers and internet skills including email; apps; calendaring programs; Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel); project
