Our client, a global designer accessories brand, is seeking a Director of PR & Celebrity Relations, Americas to join their team in NYC. This role serves as a strategic liaison between the Americas market and headquarters, ensuring brand consistency while maximizing regional relevance and visibility. The position oversees earned media, celebrity and talent engagement, and PR operations, contributing to both product-driven and corporate storytelling initiatives in alignment with global communication objectives.
Role Responsibilities
- Partner with the CMO and Global Communications Director to drive earned media visibility and talent placement across the Americas, including a strong focus on red carpet and high-profile appearances.
- Localize global communication strategies to resonate within the U.S. market, while maintaining brand positioning, tone, and priorities.
- Provide ongoing insights into the U.S. media and talent landscape, advising HQ on opportunities, trends, and strategic direction.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with leading fashion editors, journalists, stylists, and key opinion leaders.
- Develop strong partnerships with celebrities, stylists, agents, and talent representatives to ensure impactful brand exposure.
- Secure high-quality placements across print, digital, and social platforms in line with global standards.
- Oversee management of the press showroom and sample inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with global processes.
- Execute product seeding initiatives for influencers, VIPs, media, and talent.
- Support seasonal press previews, market appointments, and editorial meetings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global marketing teams on events and special projects.
- Deliver structured and consistent reporting on media coverage, placements, and social visibility.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide qualitative and quantitative insights to HQ.
- Maintain and regularly update media and talent databases in accordance with global guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the U.S. luxury fashion media and celebrity ecosystem.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Experience working within matrixed organizations and reporting to global headquarters.
- Exceptional attention to brand image, detail, and operational excellence.
Compensation: $160K-185K
