Our client, a high-growth
beauty brand, is seeking Chief Financial Officer
to join their team on a hybrid basis
in Los Angeles, CA (West Hollywood). This role will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, business planning, and long-term growth. This leadership role will oversee finance and accounting functions, support strategic decision-making, optimize financial performance, and build the infrastructure needed to scale a fast-growing organization. Previous experience supporting an earty stage, high-growth consumer brand, ideally within beauty, wellness, lifestyle, retail, or consumer products is required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing financial guidance and business insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reporting processes
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, capital allocation, and overall financial performance
- Manage accounting operations, monthly close, internal controls, audits, tax compliance, and external financial partners
- Develop reporting, dashboards, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, product, and supply chain teams to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Lead board, investor, lender, and stakeholder reporting
- Support financing activities, transaction readiness, due diligence, and strategic growth initiatives as needed
- Build scalable financial systems, processes, controls, and infrastructure
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or corporate finance, including senior leadership experience
- Experience supporting a high-growth consumer brand, ideally within beauty, wellness, lifestyle, retail, or consumer products
- Proven success scaling finance functions within entrepreneurial or founder-led organizations
- Strong expertise in financial planning, cash management, accounting, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls
- Experience supporting capital raises, strategic investments, acquisitions, recapitalizations, or other corporate transactions preferred
- Deep understanding of inventory-based business models and multi-channel sales environments
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and financial modeling skills
- Track record of partnering effectively with executive teams, boards, investors, and external stakeholders
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- CPA, MBA, or related advanced credentials are a plus
- Los Angeles-based preferred; remote candidates may be considered for the right background and experience
