Our client, a luxury jewelry house, is seeking a Temporary Boutique Receptionist to join their flagship 5th Avenue boutique in New York. The ideal candidate is polished, personable, and professional, with prior experience as a Receptionist, Host, or Greeter in a high-end, luxury, or hospitality environment.
As the first point of contact for clients both in-person and by phone, this individual must demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills and deliver an exceptional, warm guest experience. This is a temporary role that has potential to become permanent based on performance and the needs of the business. Candidates must be able to work a retail schedule of 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Duties Include:
- Deliver warm, timely, and professional greetings to all clients entering the luxury jewelry and watch boutique, directing them to the appropriate team member.
- Provide exceptional customer service through outstanding verbal and written communication across in-person, phone, email, and chat interactions.
- Handle inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries, including boutique hours, services, and details related to the repair process.
- Uphold a professional, service-focused presence while supporting a refined and dynamic luxury retail setting.
- Demonstrate a career-focused mindset with a strong commitment to professionalism, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Job Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Hospitality, Fashion, Retail, or a related field, and/or one year of experience in retail, contact center, or customer service.
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for luxury hospitality and customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong email follow-up skills.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 50lbs.
Pay: $26 - $27/hr
