Assistant Store Manager, Madison Avenue

Our client, a luxury fashion house, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join the team in NYC. This is a full-time permanent position. The ideal candidate has experience working in NYC, specifically on the Upper East Side. Candidates must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Duties Include:
  • Act as the lead in-store, keeping the team on track, and handling questions from clients and corporate teams
  • Work well with others; the team supports each other, stays connected with clients outside the store, and expects the same mindset
  • Hands on with both selling and operations; spends most of the time on the floor but also handles stock pulls, sizing, and merchandising as needed
  • Comfortable working with high-profile and celebrity clients, able to hold a natural conversation without hesitation
  • Polished, genuinely interested in the industry, and focused on building real client relationships (existing client book is a plus)

Job Qualifications Include:
  • Brings leadership experience in luxury RTW, ideally from Madison Avenue, with a positive, team-first attitude
  • Open to candidates with a high jewelry background, especially given the brand’s recent focus in that space
  • Comfortable leading the day-to-day in-store, from team oversight to client engagement and sales support
  • Aligned with a hands-on role that blends leadership, selling, and operational responsibilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs (unless otherwise noted by client) and the ability to stand for duration of shift)

Salary: Up to $110k + bonus
