Our client is seeking an Architectural Drafter/Assistant in New York City to support ongoing residential design and renovation projects across multiple global properties. This full-time role is ideal for an entry-level architect, interior designer, or technically skilled drafter with strong CAD capabilities. The position is highly collaborative and focuses on translating design vision into precise technical drawings.
Job Duties:
- Create detailed architectural and FF&E drawings using CAD and other design software
- Translate design concepts and verbal direction into accurate technical plans
- Support design execution for large-scale residential properties and ongoing renovation projects
- Produce layouts, elevations, and rendering files as needed for project teams
- Collaborate closely with leadership to bring design ideas to life
- Maintain organized documentation, drawings, and project files
- Demonstrate strong communication and executive presence while supporting cross-functional partners
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred; recent grads welcome
- Candidates without a specific degree may qualify with strong CAD proficiency
- Experience with CAD and other architectural design tools required
- Ability to convert conceptual ideas into accurate technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a quickly evolving project environment
- Interest in high-end residential design and FF&E
- Professionalism and executive presence when interacting with leadership
