Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, global beauty leader, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in New York City on a hybrid schedule. Candidates must have the ability to travel to office for a hybrid schedule. 

Job Duties Include:

  • Enter and process invoices, travel and expense reports, and perform matching for inventory purchases
  • Review Accounts Payable reports to identify outstanding payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain and organize filing and archiving systems for financial documents
  • Ensure all payments are made in accordance with payment terms and deadlines
  • Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose changes to enhance efficiency
  • Contact colleagues and stakeholders for timely approvals
  • Maintain vendor data and setup in the system
  • Support filing IRS forms for eligible vendors
  • Execute accounting and closing tasks in preparation for month and year end financial procedures
  • Execute ad hoc reports and projects for the finance team as needed
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as needed and assigned

Job Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes

Salary: $80-90k annually + 10% bonus
