Our client, a wellness brand, is hiring an Spanish Editor to join their team. The role is remote based on the East Coast and focuses on reviewing, translating, and refining subtitles and dubbing for our fitness classes and marketing materials. This is a temporary role slated for 12 months and will operate under a part time schedule (25 hours a week).
Job Duties Include:
- Carefully review EN>ES-MX and ES>EN subtitles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Research and translate fitness-specific terminology
- Review and quality-check closed captions, providing feedback to enhance company’s Automatic Speech Recognition model
- Translate and/or review marketing copy and assets relevant platforms
- Develop deep product knowledge and provide insights on subtitling and dubbing best practices.
- Review and refine dubbing scripts, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
- Update and advise on Dubbing Guidelines.
- Participate in voice casting sessions and assess Spanish voice talent.
- Review dubbed classes and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the Content Localization team with various linguistic tasks as needed
- Ad hoc duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- Fluent Spanish speaker with strong grammar, syntax, idiomatic, and slang proficiency
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- 4+ years of subtitling experience
- 6+ years of experience in translation, localization, and transcreation
- Proficiency in subtitling and translation management systems
- Strong ability to work under tight deadlines
- Experience attending dubbing recording sessions is a plus
- Interest in fitness and content production is an advantage
Salary: $27/hr
