Temporary Benefits Specialist

Our client, a contemporary fashion brand, is looking to hire a Temporary Benefits Specialist to join their team onsite in NYC. This is a 3-month temp role that will be covering a leave of absence.

Job Qualifications Include:

  • Manage benefit inquiries from employees on benefits enrollments, life events, etc.
  • Resolve administrative problems as they arise with the insurance carriers
  • Administer employees' benefits, wellness programs, disability programs, etc.
  • Monitor government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends
  • Manage workers' compensation claims
  • Maintain benefits filing systems and ensure changes are properly registered
  • Process leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork
  • Assist with new-hire benefits orientation and all annual enrollment processes
  • Run requested reports
  • Coordinate activities for the team
  • Ad hoc duties as needed and assigned


Job Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of multi-state leave of absence administration
  • 5+ years of workers’ compensation claims reporting experience
  • Proven ability to support teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Retail experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel)
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience using various vendor platforms
  • Experience with ADP systems a plus


Salary: $35-40/hour
