Our client, a beauty brand, is hiring a Social Media Manager to join their team onsite in New York City. Candidates must have 4+ years of social media management experience in the beauty industry. Candidates should be available to work outside operating hours with flexibility around weekends/holidays depending on the needs of the business.
Job Duties Include:
- Lead the creation and execution of social media calendar and update based on campaign needs
- Develop quarterly plan to ensure all KPIs are met
- Ideate, execute, and support original content for all channels
- Maintain strong knowledge of the changing social media landscape, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Launch social campaigns that align with business goals, brand building, community growth, and other milestones
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce and PR teams to support business initiatives where needed
- Oversee Social Media Assistant’s day-to-day activities
- Monitor customer service inquiries and partner on how to provide support and resolution
- Write blog posts for the website and work with SEO agency to ensure optimization
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms
- Manage and grow social media communities through engagement, interaction, and customer service
- Manage all social media ad campaigns, including planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Generate reports on KPIs such as engagement rate, follower growth, traffic, and conversions
Job Qualifications Include:
- 4+ years of social media management experience in beauty
- Skin care experience preferred (skin care preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and communication skills
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
- Familiarity with SEO, web traffic metrics, and paid social media campaigns
- Passionate about beauty in social media
- Understanding of digital marketing strategy
- Strong storytelling skills; beauty copywriting skills a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong project and personal management skills
- Experience using Social Media analytics & scheduling platforms (Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, or similar)
- Able to work outside operating hours with flexibility around weekends/holidays
- Graphic design or video editing experience preferred (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut)
- Influencer marketing or brand ambassador program experience preferred
- Crisis management and reputation monitoring skills preferred
Salary: $100k annually
