Our client, a global leader in the beauty industry, is looking for a Temporary 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk for their Distribution Center in Cranbury, New Jersey. As a key member of the shipping team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate shipment delivery to meet our customers' expectations.
2nd shift:
4:00pm-12:30am
Job Duties Include:
- Organize and prioritize outgoing shipments to meet customer delivery deadlines, ensuring all loads are staged and ready on time.
- Maintain accurate documentation and minimize errors in a fast paced distribution environment
- Work closely with the production team to manage shipping priorities, resolve any carton shortages, and prevent delays.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with the traffic team to provide status updates on shipments and address any special requirements.
- Monitor team staffing levels and report any potential shortages to management to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Partner with the Shipping Lead to coordinate the movement of freight, ensuring timely and efficient shipping operations.
- Provide a clear and detailed shift handoff to the 1st shift team, ensuring a smooth transition and awareness of any outstanding issues
- Additional duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- 1+ year experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center environment with Shipping experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Skilled in identifying and resolving and troubleshooting basic equipment issues efficiently
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs frequently and standing on your feet for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Radio Frequency (RF) scanning tools
This is a temporary position. The worker will be employed and paid by PCG.
Compensation:$20.75/hr. paid weekly
