Senior FP&A Manager

Our client, an exciting, omnichannel fashion brand, is hiring a Senior Manager FP&A to join their team in New York City on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). This position manages financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while providing strategic insights to support decision-making and drive organizational success. This position requires that candidates come from a retail company, preferably within the fashion industry.

 

Job Duties Include:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to protect company assets
  • Lead financial planning and analysis, ensuring alignment with forecasts with company objectives
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or growth
  • Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate preparation and seamless communication
  • Oversee rolling forecasts and conduct scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits and address findings promptly
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development for finance staff
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, including credit, operational, and currency risks

 

Job Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • MBA preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred 
  • 8+ years of financial management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Industry experience in retail is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to diverse audiences
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Experience working directly with a Founder strongly preferred

 

Salary: $140- $150K annually
