Our client, a high-growth, premium personal care company, is hiring a General Manager to join their team in a Los Angeles. This role will start in a remote capacity with the goal of moving to a hybrid schedule. The GM will oversee the company’s core business functions, including Growth Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance. This role will be central to driving the company's continued growth and operational excellence.
Job Duties Include:

Lead the strategic vision and hands-on execution of brand and growth marketing efforts across all key channels, including creative development, paid media, owned content, earned media, etc.

Ensure brand integrity and a compelling customer experience by maintaining consistency and emotional resonance across every touchpoint

Leverage consumer insights to craft innovative, culturally relevant campaigns and product positioning strategies to drive engagement

Build and manage a high-performing in-house marketing team alongside a network of external agency partners

Optimize customer acquisition and lifetime value with a strong focus on full-funnel performance, media planning, and attribution modeling
- Own key marketing metrics driving performance across revenue, retention, and brand awareness goals
- Partner to shape the long-term commercial vision and financial roadmap for the business
- Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan, establishing both company-wide and departmental objectives, managing performance reporting, and ensuring accountability across the organization
- Act as thought partner on team health, culture, and talent development, helping to create a thriving and high-performing work environment
- Play an integral role in commercial planning—including opportunity assessment, seasonal and product calendar planning, and cross-functional prioritization
Job Qualifications Include:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline; MBA strongly preferred

10+ years of senior leadership experience, including 5+ years in a top-tier marketing role (e.g., VP Marketing, CMO) within a fast-growing consumer brand

Demonstrated success scaling DTC and retail businesses through inventive brand marketing and performance-driven growth tactics

Deep understanding of financial strategy and P&L ownership

Highly analytical, with a strong command of marketing metrics and a focus on optimizing ROI across all channels

Skilled at leading cross-functional teams, including experience managing remote staff

Expert in performance marketing, CRM/retention, influencer marketing, affiliate programs, and retail channel growth

Strong background in long-term planning and commercial strategy development

Thrives in a dynamic, creative, and startup environment
Salary: $200k annually + bonus and equity
