Accounts Receivable Manager

Our client, a luxury fashion brand, is hiring a permanent Accounting Manager to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office).

Job Duties Include:

  • Manage AR for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries, including daily transactions, month-end reconciliations, credit allowances, and factor relationships
  • Lead the collections process, monitor customer credit limits, resolve chargebacks, and address past-due issues while informing leadership of collection risks
  • Supervise and mentor AR staff, partner with Wholesale, Customer Service, and Finance teams, and support ad hoc initiatives and reporting needs
  • Maintain SOX compliance, manage bad debt accruals, and ensure accurate reporting through account reconciliations and aging report reviews

Job Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of Accounting experience
  • 2+ years in a management role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Prior sales tax experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS 16 and SAP knowledge
  • Rent related expense management
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel a must; BPC, AS 400, and Cognos are a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with reporting packages and schedules for financial closings
  • Experience with SOX or internal controls is preferred
  • Industry experience from retail or consumer goods is preferred

 

Salary: $100K - $120K annually
