Our client is a global leader in integrated circuits looking to add a Senior CAD Designer to their team. This is a temp to perm position located in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn, NY.

This position will create/draft mechanical drawings, layouts, electrical diagrams & wirings and documents using AUTOCAD Software or by manual techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Check Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for completeness and compliance to the latest manufacturing requirements

·        Prepare new ECNs and mark-ups for all pages of the model folder

·        Check documentation and drawings prepared by all CAD Designers

·        Check manufacturing orders before release for effect on pending ECNs

·        Make corrections to drawings made by other CAD Designers

·        Place manufacturing runs on hold if pending ECN is affected

·        Contact Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, etc., if there are any problems during ECN implementation and make changes accordingly

·        Evaluate importance and prioritize pending ECNs for manufacturing orders

Job Requirements:

·        Minimum of 5 years related work experience

·        Associates or Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

·        Proficient in AutoCAD releases 14 - 2002, 2006

·        Proficient in WordPerfect, Excel, MS Word

·        Excellent drafting skills

·         Working knowledge of mechanical drawings and layouts

·        Working knowledge of electrical diagrams and wiring

·        Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) due to ITAR compliance
